Ingmar Viohl, PhD
Vice President and CTO

Dr. Viohl has over 12 years experience managing diverse R&D groups and programs. Products developed and manufactured include disposable intravascular medical devices, complete Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) systems, high power radio frequency (RF) amplifiers, ultra low noise RF receiver systems and image correction software.

Most recently he was Vice President Engineering and Operations for Surgi-Vision, Inc. He holds a PhD degree in Solid State Physics from the University of Utah.

Jeffrey Duerk, PhD
Founder

Dr. Duerk is a full-tenured professor at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, OH, in biomedical engineering and radiology. Dr. Duerk is also Director of Physics Research in the Department of Radiology at University Hospitals of Cleveland.

Dr. Duerk has published approximately 100 peer-reviewed manuscripts, over 15 chapters and invited papers and over 150 peer-reviewed abstracts, primarily related to the physics and technology of magnetic resonance imaging. Dr. Duerk holds 6 patents, with 15 pending, and most are associated with I3-related technologies.

Dr. Duerk came to Case western Reserve University for Picker International (now a part of Philips Medical Systems), one of the leading MRI OEM vendors. While at Picker, Dr. Duerk specialized in the development of MRI image acquisition techniques, with special emphasis on the effects of motion within or during the MRI scan.

Dr. Duerk holds a BS degree from Purdue University, MS degree from The Ohio State University, and PhD degree from Case Western Reserve University.

Jonathan Lewin, MD
Founder

Dr. Lewin is currently Department Chairman, Radiology, Johns Hopkins University. Previously, Dr. Lewin served as Professor and Vice Chairman for Research and Academic Affairs in the Department of Radiology at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, OH, with secondary appointments in the Departments of Oncology, Neurological Surgery, and Biomedical Engineering, and was Director, Division of Magnetic Resonance Imaging at University Hospitals of Cleveland.

Dr. Lewin has published more than 100 peer-reviewed manuscripts, over 30 chapters and invited papers, and more than 200 peer-reviewed abstracts on topics including the basic science and clinical aspects of interventional MR imaging.
